7 Days till Christmas -tips for the last minute shopper
Well to be honest, I was good this year and have just about everything I need. Just need to make a few more stops. So in this post I thought I'd share a professional last minuter's tip's to last minute shopping.
Go as early as possible!
Most stores have earlier opening hours, so take advantage. Trust me -waking up early to beat the crowds will be worth it! Do not go during your lunch break or right after work! Literally the busiest times when everyone is trying to rush in. If you can't go early most stores also have later closings. You'd be better off going after dinner.
Make a list.
Write down who's on your list, and what may be a good item to gift them and how much you want to spend. This way you spend less time circling the store and avoid things your not interested in buying.
Be friendly!
Shopping last minute is so stressful, why add more negatively to the mix. Smile, say thank you, and feel the Christmas spirit. This might sound very obvious, but I'm sure you've seen those demanding, angry customers. Don't be that customer!
Buy gift boxes!
Stop by Target, Dollar store or where ever and pick up boxes! It's a week till Christmas, don't forget,stores may run out of boxes. The last thing you want is to spend Christmas morning wrapping awkwardly shaped things.
Be prepared to not find anything!
Unfortunately this late in the game your options may be limited. And online ordering may be out of the question. So while your at target pick up some festive gift card holders. So if you go the gift card route, at least your recipient will have something to open. And if you're shopping December 24th at the last possible hour consider restaurant gift cards or movie tickets and set a date with the giftee this way you both have something to look forward to in the New Year.
And another obvious one for you, but bring a lot of patience!! Oh, and your wallet, don't forget that!
